Take 4 - Sofa Styling Trends

Take 4 sofa trends...four on-trend sofa trends to embrace this summer

There’s nothing nicer than sinking back into a squishy sofa at the end of the day is there, with Netflix on tv and a cosy throw across your legs. If your sofa is uncomfy and dated then why not invest in a new one? Go on, you know you want to! There are four trends to look out for this year, have a peek at these guys and see what you think.

Inspired by the ol’Chesterfield design, button backed sofas and chairs are making a comeback except the style is more retro these days than traditional. Richard is a splendid 2-seater sofa in stone grey and also comes as a 3-seater, should you want to share your space with extra family! Why not create a gallery space behind him, use a mixture of family snaps and illustrative botanical prints - a big trend right now - to add interest to the scheme.

If you have the space then a corner style modular sofa is a good option, especially so if modern style interiors are your thing. Super squishy and super cool, Adam the modular corner sofa in beige is built on a solid wooden frame and he'd look great teamed with a decorative element like this patterned yet contemporary looking rug. The red, orange and pink tones will add warmth to an otherwise neutral scheme.

If you opt for a colourful sofa like dear Clarence here, then make sure he’ll be the focal point of your room. Create the rest of the scheme around him, he’ll like it. Embracing the mid-century style, Clarence will seat three people, he also loves cushions, particularly in pink. Pink is also one of the big trends for this summer so look out for lots of pretty shades to compliment the sunshine yellow tone.

Olivia is serene with a modern edge, gorgeously comfy and inspired by the Nordic trend which we all love. She sits on sturdy yet slim legs and is covered in this oh-so-pretty sky blue wool fabric that can be seen here. To keep you cosy on cooler evenings, she recommends this extremely tactile yellow throw in a pretty honeycomb-inspired weave complete with fringing that will add a cheery pop of colour.
